I am taking this opportunity to advise you that the Avon Local History and Archaeology Group have a visit to Clifton Rocks Railway on Monday 13th August.  Meet at the top entrance adjoining the Avon Gorge Hotel, Sion Hill, Clifton at 6.45 pm.  The walk leaders will be Peter Davey, Chairman of the restoration group, and other equally knowledgeable members of the team.  The walk back up the steps in the tunnel can be tiring, but will be taken without any hurry. There will be a charge of £2.50 per person to help the restoration fund.
