The Rotary Club of Bristol's Centenary Ball

The Rotary Club of Bristol's Centenary

Bristol Rotary Club – the first Rotary club in the South West and the one from which many other clubs in the region originated – has just celebrated its centenary.

The club's Centenary Ball on Saturday 4th November 2017 was held at the Ashton Gate Stadium Conference Centre.  This glittering gala black tie event was attended by nearly 500 people including representatives from almost 40 different Rotary Clubs from around the south west and from 6 overseas Rotary Clubs.  Entertainment was provided by the sensational London Swing Orchestra – a Jazz Age Swing Band of international repute - led by Graham Dalby.

The event raised nearly £6,000 towards the club’s centenary project to develop a community café and facilities for community groups to use in Meadow Vale, one of Bristol’s most deprived neighbourhoods. This project is now close to full realisation as we close on the fundraising target of £100, 0000.

Thank you to all those who supported this event and, in doing so, have helped us to build these much needed community facilities.
