Plans for 2007/08

Rotary’s “year” runs from July to June with a new President being elected for each year. Martina Peattie, the Senior Vice President in 2006/07 will be stepping up to “take the helm” for 2007/08 as the Club’s first lady President.

At Club Assembly Meeting on 21 May 07, Martina outlined her main plans for her forthcoming year which are as follows:

Run for the Future

To be held on Sunday 16 September 2007 on Bristol Downs.

In support of Prostate Cancer research and care at Bristol Urological Institute.

Charities Supported by Fund Raising Events

NEXT LINK - Bristol based charity, supporting women who are victims of domestic abuse
HEAL AFRICA - Provides surgery and medical care for women who are victims of sexual violence in Goma in the Congo
St PETER’S HOSPICE - the local Bristol based hospice providing care for local people with incurable illnesses, usually cancer, as well as supporting their families and children
