Key People

Laurie Haynes

Hello & thank you for visiting our website. I'm Laurie Haynes, the President of our club for the Rotary year starting in July 2023.

For over a hundred years the Rotary Club of Bristol has been initiating and supporting projects which make a real difference to people's lives here in our city and across the globe.

Take some time to browse through our website and you will see some of the projects the club has led on or supported, now and previously.

We focus on helping local charities and encouraging young people to achieve their potential. This we do by working with partner organisations and by running a range of competitions to encourage and showcase gifts of music, public speaking, technology, photography, catering and media in young people both locally and nationally. Our international work spreads to Nepal, Lebanon, Ukraine and other countries where our links with local Rotary Clubs ensures the money we raise is targeted exactly where it is needed. Our international partnerships bring us together with Rotary Clubs in Sweden, Germany, France and Portugal and multiply our fundraising efforts.

Our club meets fortnightly: once a month over a meal; once a month virtually and members meet socially for lunches, picnics, theatre trips, day trips and weekends away. We have an annual programme of presentations from visiting speakers which you can find here.

If you would like to give to Rotary, go to our donations page.

If you would like to learn how you can become a member or a friend of the Rotary Club of Bristol, or how your organisation can become our partner, write to us via the contact page.
