As students at City of Bristol College were unable to take part in the National Rotary competition it was decided to hold a mystery competition for the students after their exams. The competition took the form of an Invention Test with a random selection of ingredients provided for them to produce two courses.

There were 8 students who took part, supported by their tutor Ryan Fernandes. THe competition was judged by John Watson, Hyde & Co Company, who was in the kitchen throughout dishing our culinary advice before judging the dishes at the end.

The competition was won by Chloe Smart who cooked a Plaice Risotto with shallots, garlic, white wine, basil, sun-dried tomatoes & a baked parmesan crisp, followed by a Lemon Posset with a Thyme Shortbread Biscuit.

Prizes and certificates were presented by President Geoff Peattie
