First formed in 1987 as Caring at Christmas by members of The Julian Trust concerned about the gap in care provision for the homeless & vulnerable at christmas time, in the early 2000's the charity has developed to be able to provide care all year round and in 2013 changed it's name to "Caring in Bristol".

The Covid-19 crisis has presented Caring in Bristol with a new challenge. The traditional ways of ‘feeding-the-needy’ have become unsafe, and out of date. So, it was time for an upgrade. Introducing: Cheers Drive, the UK’s first-ever free food delivery service for the homeless.
